Modern rustic Spanish home
The fusion of traditional architecture in the North of Spain and a comprehensive restoration created an interior with warm and open spaces. Respecting the traditional features of this cottage was a priority for Joaquin Diaz, who took full charge of his transformation. His vision conceived spacious and bright rooms spread over two floors. The first are the common areas, a small toilet and a designed apartment so that guests can enjoy some privacy despite staying in the same house as the owners. The bedrooms are on the top floor, around a common room. Wood materials are seen throughout, in the flooring, beams and pillars as well as the shutters, connecting the spaces.
The large windows bring in plenty of natural light. The living room has been decorated with large sofa and chaise lounge for generous white dimensions. The absence of large volume furniture is another of the singularities of the interior, which includes large and colorful carpets. The overall image of the house is enriched by the unobtrusive diversity of pieces that connect each other, which helps to break the traditional rustic style, adding freshness and color. The dining room features a unique array of furniture, decorated with an eclectic mix of trends. Via
