Wow – what a summer house!
This beautiful summer home designed by by Christensen & Co. Arkitekter, is located in the extensive forested area of Arresbo, Denmark. An area was cleared in the dense vegetation, and after the falling of 100 large trees there formed an open surface with isolated trees, creating a foreground as well as some shade. The little house of 690 square feet is basically a wood fleet, built on posts, so that it hovers over the grass. The fleet is folded up and around, so that it forms the spine and continues in the roof which opens itself to the light to culminate in the large canopy. A simple and precise framework was created for the living compartment and the terrace, which is one continuous space with smooth transitions between inside and out.
